It's interesting that the A-10 would get stationed there, but I'm sure there's a reason.

I brought my camera thinking I would get a million photos. What I needed to bring was a tripod since the aircraft are in darkly lit hangers! Oh well....
I was able to take a few decent shots like this photo of an F-16A Falcon cockpit.
The Air Force museum was incredible and a worthy rival to NAS Pensacola's Naval museum. Not only do you get to see an amazing variety of aircraft, you will also see historically famous aircraft. The Cold War display alone featured the B-2, B-1, F-117, EF-111, F-111, A-10, Tornado, F-16, F-4, F-15, Mig-29, and more.
If you love aviation, this museum is a must-see. Next time I'll remember to bring a tripod.

Big thanks to Pieter who filled in all last week. I really appreciated the airshow photos and video.
Fokker Triplane
Here's Pieter again!
Last week, I went to the Biggin Hill airshow.
I've seen Eurofighter Typhoon, F86 Sabre, Avro Vulcan, Lancaster, Spitfire, Hurricane, P51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Me109J, P40 Kittyhawk,...
This picture is from a Fokker Triplane. I'm sure you've all seen the movie Flyboys and you'll recognise this airplane.
Anyone has a request picture?

Here's a picture of the touch-down of the Canadian P-140 Auora. This planes spends most of his time with looking for illegal fishing, migration, drugs and pollution in addition to foreign submarines. They can also perform search and rescue missions using air-droppable survival pods.
It looks a lot like a P-3 Orion. Is it the same? What is different?

Here's probably the main reason why I went to the Leeuwarden airshow. The Eurofighter! I know it is a photo from the static, and I know that guy on the right really disturbs the whole image, but I really like this plane. Check out the HUD!

This one is my current wallpaper. I converted every color in black&white except all the blues. You can do this in Photoshop with the "Replace color" function. Then I used some tricks to replace some blue tshirts of the crowd around the plane.
I hope you like it!

A380-800 at Paris Airshow 1680x1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Hello!
Here's Pieter from Belgium.
2 weeks ago I went to the Paris Airshow.
I've seen Rafale, Eurofighter, F18, F16, C130, C27 and the A380-800!
This was the highlight of the show.
Due to the great distance between the airplanes and the audience, I couldn't take decent pictures of the fighters with my 200 mm lens.
If you want to know how big the A380 really is, imagine an appartment building that is doing a low speed pass at 1000 feet.
Last weekend I went to the Biggin Hill airshow near London, I'll post some pictures soon.
