F/A-22 Raptor Raw Power 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
During the aircraft demo, the F-22 gave many opportunities to capture full afterburner maneuvers. In this shot the aircraft is performing a high-g turn right in front of the crowd.Aviation photography is a blast Enjoy!
F/A-22 Raptor 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Continuing with my photographs from the Nellis AFB 2007 Airshow, here's a great shot of the F/A-22 Raptor. In this picture, the Raptor is taxiing out for the afternoon demonstration. This was a hard shot to get since I had to push by many people to get clear angle.
As you have seen in a previous video here, the F/A-22 is the most maneuverable aircraft in the USAF inventory. The demo was amazing and the raw power of the aircraft is insane. I read at the show that a single engine puts out 28,000+ lbs of thrust at MIL power and 43,000 lbs of thrust in afterburner. This jet has two of these engines! No wonder this baby can supercruise.
F/A-22 Raptor 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Here's a great front shot of the F/A-22 Raptor on the ramp at Nellis AFB. As you have seen in the airshow video, this is one amazing fighter jet without even discussing the stealth characteristics, passive radar, and avionics. Enjoy!

Artistic F-22 Raptor 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

F/A-22 Raptor Solo 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
F/A-22 Raptor Widescreen Desktop Background. The Raptor is amazingly photogenic from certain angles. You'll love this wallpaper.
For this background, I offset the crop to give more space on the left for your desktop icons. The shot required only minimal work.
F/A-22 Raptor and F-15E Strike Eagle Formation 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
F/A-22 and F-15E 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper.Classic formation shot with an Alaskan mountain background. The F/A-22 is designed to replace the F-15 and you can see the design improvements. If I remember correctly, the F/A-22 is replacing the F-15E in Alaska.
This shot required a lot of post-processing. The original shot was washed out so I had to adjust the RGB levels. I also did a bump in contrast with a touch of saturation to make the color pop. The end result is much better than the original.
F/A-22 Afterburner Shot 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
F/A-22 Widescreen Wallpaper 1680 x 1050.You have to love a shot that has both condensation and afterburners. This picture exudes raw power.
I cropped it and adjusted the contrast. Shot needed a minor saturation adjustment. Sharpened the image as well. The focus of the shot is just slightly off, but overall it's an amazing photo.
F/A-22 Raptor 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
F/A-22 Raptor 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper.Nice two-ship formation of Raptors. I did a crop and added a color filter. It also needed some contrast adjustment and slight sharpening to make it pop.
The clouds in the shot add a nice contrast and give the shot more power.
