USMC F/A-18C Hornet 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Here's a beautiful shot of a battle weary Marine F-18C Hornet. Notice the color stripes on the missiles and bombs. Yellow or Black mean live weapons (as opposed to blue stripes meaning dummy or inert).
USN F/A-18C Fighter Pilot 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
You have to love fighter pilot gear. The helmet, flightsuit, and gloves rock. I'd wear the same stuff flying Cessna 172's but it would be overkill. I guess the only way I could wear it would be to join the Civil Air Patrol. Here is a fighter pilot sitting in an F/A-18C. Great shot.
Blue Angel F/A-18C 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Allright everybody!
Here's a nice picture from the Blue Angels flying over the Battle of Midway commemoration ceremony.
I added some contrast and a red photo filter.

KC-10 and F-18 Refueling 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Shot somewhere lonely over Afghanistan, here's an F-18 refueling with a KC-10 Extender. Hats off to you guys stationed over there. The worst I saw in the USAF was being stuck at Wendover, Utah (we used to call it "Bendover"). Ahh, the good ole days.
Blue Angel F/A-18C 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Hello, I'm Pieter from Belgium, the guest author while JT is away.
This is my first wallpaper. I hope to see the Blue Angels some time while they are showing their skills. Tell me what you think about my wallpaper!
F18C Hornet Cat Launch 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Excellent shot here of an F-18C Hornet getting shot off the bow of the USS Ronald Reagan. Great framing with the F-18F on the deck.
F18 Hornet Sunrise 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Excellent shot of an F-18C Hornet at Sunrise. Check out the vivid colors and the night glow strips. Love it.FYI, I'll be in Chicago for the next three days and won't be back to Saturday. This is my first trip to the windy city so I'm hoping to experience some of the highlights but I am going on "business" (I have to do a presentation). At minimum, I'll need to find me a deep dish pizza and visit at least one site where they filmed the Blues Brothers.
F-18C Hornet High Speed Pass 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Nice shot here of an F-18C high speed pass. Not bad for a Hornet with bags!
Blue Angel F/A-18C 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Great shot of Blue Angel #5 upside down in home town of Pensacola, Florida.Another reason I love this shot is that I got married on this same beach just a few miles down.
F/A-18C Carrier Landing 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Love this shot. Here's an F-18C just about to land on the carrier. The ocean colors add a nice contrast.
Navy F-18C Cat Launch 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Next best thing to being there, check out this cat launch shot of an F-18C Hornet. I worked on flightlines in my USAF career, but this must be quite a rush.
Blue Angels F/A-18C Four Ship Cockpit View 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
This shot lets you fly along in the cockpit with the United States Navy Blue Angels. The Blue Angels fly F/A-18C Hornets painted in the famous blue and gold. I'd love to get a ride with these guys. The photo required adjustments in levels and contrast. I added a slight saturation and sharpening to finish it off.
F/A-18C Hornet Pilot 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Pilots get to wear the greatest flight suits and gear. This shot is an excellent close-up of a Hornet driver. The carrier tower in the background adds great atmosphere.Cropped it to 1680, adjusted levels, boosted contrast, added some saturation, and finished it with slight sharpening.
F/A-18C Afterburner 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
F-18C Widescreen Desktop Background.Great tail shot of an F-18 doing a full afterburner carrier takeoff.
After the standard widescreen crop, the shot required more work with levels and contrast to finish it. A slight saturation boost and sharpening and it was finished.

F/A-18C 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Desktop Wallpaper. You've got to try this wallpaper on your desktop. The formation shot will make you feel like you're right over the carrier.

F18 Hornet Carrier Launch 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper
Nice shot here of an F/A-18C Hornet getting launched off a carrier in full afterburner. Pilots often say the carrier launch is the best part of the whole mission.
