Resource by WallpapersHello!
Here's Pieter again. Here's another photo from the Leeuwarden airshow. This beauty was doing a low speed pass at 5 meters above the ground over the whole landingstrip. I had to put my lens back to 50mm to take a picture of the hole plane.

Hello, here's a cool picture from a CH47 Chinook. I used my wide angle lens to accentuate how huge the blades of this helicopter are.
These provide the helicopter with a really typical sound.

Oke enough from the static. Tomorrow a photo from the flying display.

greetings,
Pieter

Like Pieter mentioned, I'm out of town starting today (going to San Francisco for work related stuff). Pieter will cover and post some of the great shots he's taken from the airshow.

Too bad I missed the solo display...

Who wants more?

btw check out this funny photo. It's me holding the tip of the Mirage 2000D

C-17 Short-Field Landing 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Resource by WallpapersBeing a pilot myself, I can certainly appreciate the skill needed to do short-field landings. If you throw an unimproved landing strip into the mix, that's quite a task for both plane and pilot.

The C-17 was designed with this type of landing in mind, but it's still amazing to behold.
